FAQs
Do you buy books?
Yes, though that depends on the topics/authors that you have, the books’ condition, and their relevance to the current used book market. Please contact me to tell me about what you have. I also buy select magazines and ephemera. I do not buy textbooks, Time-Life or Reader’s Digest books, Playboys, encyclopedias, or any items with serious condition issues (smoke damage, significant writing/marking inside, moisture damage, or missing covers/pages). Book buying is limited to the Western New York area.
Are you hiring?
Albion Books is a one-person operation and there are no plans to hire additional staff members.
Is Albion Books a brick-and-mortar bookstore?
For the foreseeable future, Albion Books will remain an online store. However, you can also browse select stock in person at the pop-up bookstore at The Peddler Flea Market in the Elmwood Village of Buffalo. See the Shop > The Peddler page for more information. If you live in the city of Buffalo or nearby, and would prefer to pick up your online order instead of having it shipped, please contact me to arrange this.
I’m looking for a particular book; can you find a copy for me?
Only part of my total inventory is listed online. If you were unable to find the exact book you wanted, then please contact me so I can search my offline inventory for you. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for me to help you. If I don't have the book in stock, then I will recommend other local booksellers who may have what you’re looking for.
